Sizing & Fit

The right sizeis a clinicaldecision.

Measurements, compression class, and surgeon-led sizing — everything you need to wear MED correctly from day one.

SIZE GUIDE · UPDATED 2026
How to measure

Three measurements decide fit. Take them honestly.

Compression garments only deliver clinically if they sit between 18 and 24 mmHg on the right tissue. A loose fit fails. A tight fit hurts. Use a soft tape, no clothing in the measured area.

  1. 01
    Stand relaxed.

Arms at your sides. No deep breath, no sucking in. Measure on bare skin.

  2. 02
    Keep tape parallel.

Tape should sit level all the way around. Use a mirror or a partner.

  3. 03
    When in between, size down.

Garments stretch into final shape after 2–3 wears. Surgeon’s call on first-week sizing always overrides.

Reference diagram

Where to wrap the tape.

01Bust / Chest

Across the fullest part. Tape parallel to floor, snug not tight.

02Waist

The natural waist — narrowest point, usually just above the navel.

03Hips

The fullest part of seat and hips, feet together, weight even.

04Height

Barefoot, against a wall. Measured straight from heel to top of head.

Sizes in cm. If you are between sizes for two different measurements, size by the largest — never by waist alone.

Compression class

Three classes. Each for a phase.

Your surgeon prescribes the class. Don’t choose by feel — choose by phase of recovery.

I15–20 mmHg

Maintenance & long-term

Worn daily after week 6. Comfortable enough for office wear and travel; supports lymphatic return without restricting circulation.

II20–30 mmHg

Standard post-op

The default class for week 1 through week 6 after most plastic and reconstructive procedures. Encourages tissue adherence and reduces seroma risk.

III30–40 mmHg

Acute / high-edema

Used in the first 14 days after extensive liposuction, body contouring, or under surgeon's direct supervision in lymphedema cases.

Questions we get

Common fit questions.

01What if I'm between two sizes?

Size down. Garments give 4–6% in the first three wears. The exception: if your waist is one size larger than hips, size for waist.

02Will the garment loosen as I recover?

Yes — typically 8–15% over six weeks as edema resolves. We recommend a follow-up sizing at week 4 if you've lost more than 1.5 inches in waist.

03Do you offer custom sizing?

For approved clinics, yes. We need three measurements plus a clinical note. Lead time is 14 days. Contact your prescribing surgeon.

04Can I wear two sizes — one for night, one for day?

Some patients do. The clinical evidence supports a single, correctly-sized garment worn 22 hours/day in weeks 1–3. After week 4, a relaxed night option is fine.
